Job summary

Northside Hospital Inc. is looking for a dedicated Registered Professional Nurse to provide exceptional nursing care in Atlanta. This role involves independently planning and managing care for assigned patients, ensuring adherence to the Georgia Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies.

Applicants must graduate from an accredited nursing school and hold a valid RN license in Georgia. Preferred candidates will have additional Life Support certifications and a BSN degree. Working hours are primarily night shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM.

Qualifications

• Must be a licensed RN in the State of Georgia in good standing.
• Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Additional Life Support credential preferred.

Responsibilities

The Registered Professional Nurse at Northside Hospital independently plans and provides professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and established guidelines, and in accordance with the scope of practice as defined by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.

The Northside Hospital Staff Registered Professional Nurse manages patient care of an assigned group of patients in accordance with the philosophy and policies of Northside Hospital. Additionally, the practice of all professional nurses at Northside Hospital reflects the values of collaboration, communication, coordination, integration, and empowerment.

Qualifications

REQUIRED

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing and licensed as an RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.
• Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS).

PREFERRED

• BSN degree
• Additional Life Support credential (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) or other clinical specialty certifications in specific units.
• Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.
