Position Summary

Title: Head Teacher – Montessori Elementary
Ages Served: 6–12 years (Lower and Upper Elementary, starting with ~7 Lower El. students)
Class Size: Max 15 students total
Schedule: Full-time
Location: Relocating to 200 Monticello Ave., Jersey City in August 2025

The successful candidate will plan, prepare, and deliver a developmentally appropriate, high-quality Montessori curriculum and help establish the classroom’s routines, expectations, and culture.

Qualifications

Required:

• MACTE Montessori Elementary I credential

• Minimum 3 years of classroom teaching experience at the Elementary level

• Legally authorized to work in the U.S.

Preferred:

• Montessori Elementary II credential (Upper Elementary)

• Experience working in diverse, inclusive educational environments

• Bilingual proficiency (English/Spanish)
