Job summary

St. Augustine Preparatory Academy is seeking a full-time School Security Officer for our North Campus to maintain a safe environment for staff and students. The role reports to the Director of Security and Student Safety and aligns with Aug Prep’s mission of faith-based holistic education.

The candidate should know standard security procedures, have school security experience, strong communication skills, and preferably be bilingual in Spanish. This is a 10-month, full-time position.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of standard security procedures and best practices.
• Experience in security and/or in a school setting preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Patrol and monitor assigned areas to keep students and staff safe.
• Assist administrators and staff in crisis and emergency situations.
• Investigate incidents and prepare reports of results.
• Support safety drills and student transitions through hallways.
• Foster trusted relationships with students, families, and staff.
