Job summary

City Rescue Mission of Lansing is seeking a part-time Customer Service Coordinator to process transactions, oversee entry, and maintain organized sales areas. You will greet customers, handle cash, and ensure a smooth checkout experience while staying calm under pressure.

The role requires reliability, basic Microsoft Office skills, and a heart to share Christ’s message. Shifts run 10am-3pm and 3pm-8pm with weekend rotation in a noisy thrift shop setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma – Preferred.
• 1 Year Retail Experience – Preferred.
• Basic Microsoft Suite Experience – e.g. Email, Word Documents – Required.

Responsibilities

• Greet Customers as they enter and exit the store.
• Accurately account for cash drawer throughout shift.
• Complete transactions with customers on the cash register.
• Ensure accurate transactions on the cash register – credit card and cash.
• Maintain assigned areas for the sales floor – stocked and priced.
• Stay within sight of the cash register and avoid delays.
• Maintain good communication with the department and use tools.
• Keep a clean and orderly workspace.
• Attend meetings and trainings as scheduled.
• Show the love of Christ and be ready to share the gospel.
