Job summary

The The-Mentoring-Alliance is seeking a Christian After School Counselor to foster youth development and lead elementary students in enrichment activities after school. This part-time, non-exempt role offers 17-20 hours per week and requires a heart for service and ministry, along with a commitment to the organization’s faith-based mission.

Responsibilities include supervising activities, modeling positive behavior, and ensuring a safe, engaging environment for children Monday through Friday

Qualifications

• Agree with and exhibit behaviors in accordance with the Mentoring Alliance Statement of Faith
• Must be at least 17 years of age; High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Have a passion and love for working with elementary school-aged children
• Experience working with elementary school-aged children is preferred
• Able to work Monday - Friday 2:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. during the school calendar year
• Ability to earn CPR/First Aid certification (mandatory)
• Pass Mandatory Background/Sex offender check
• Valid driver’s license or Valid ID
• Legally allowed to work in the United States
• Have dependable transportation
• Spanish-speaking ability greatly valued
