Job summary

Union Gospel Mission of Salem is seeking a Program Counselor to walk alongside guests experiencing homelessness and guide them toward lasting life change through the transforming grace of Jesus Christ. This full-time role serves men and supports stability, responsibility, spiritual growth, and Christ-centered discipleship.

You will build trusting relationships, model biblical character, encourage prayer and Scripture, and apply biblical truth to daily life, work, and relationships.

Qualifications

• Excellent listening skills and accountability.
• Experience confronting difficult behavior respectfully.
• Knowledge of substance abuse and recovery preferred.
• Must align with Union Gospel Mission of Salem's Statement of Faith and Standards of Conduct.

• Helps guests apply biblical truth to daily life, decision-making, relationships, work, and personal challenges.
