JOB BRIEF

The Fair Lending Quality HMDA Data Sr. Compliance Associate will be a member of the Fair and Responsible Banking Team (FARB). This position is responsible for executing testing and supporting continuous monitoring to evaluate Key's HMDA compliance with regulatory requirements, including ensuring the accuracy of Key's HMDA regulatory reporting data. Additional activities may include data integrity testing, validation to loan files quarterly and/or annually, reviewing procedures, developing training content, and reporting results to the Line of Business. The role involves utilizing data analysis tools to assess HMDA risks, evaluate controls, identify weaknesses, and recommend process improvements to meet regulatory changes and mitigate compliance risks. Building strong, collaborative relationships across all lines of defense is essential.

Partnering with the Line of Business while maintaining oversight is crucial, especially in high-risk initiatives, products, third parties, and clients. The role promotes a culture that emphasizes acknowledgment of compliance risks and prioritizes risk management.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Assist in identifying, measuring, mitigating, monitoring, and reporting HMDA compliance risks.
  • Conduct Second Line of Defense review and challenge activities, including independent testing and escalation.
  • Execute testing and monitoring to ensure HMDA compliance and data accuracy.
  • Resolve conflicting application information aligning with regulatory standards.
  • Perform data integrity testing, review procedures, develop training content, and report results.
  • Use data analysis tools to assess risks and identify control gaps.
  • Recommend process improvements to meet regulatory requirements and reduce risks.
  • Support regulatory exams and internal audits related to HMDA.
  • Document and communicate testing results, highlighting significant risks and issues.
  • Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with management, internal clients, and internal Audit.
  • Support additional tasks as needed to achieve team objectives.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree required; CRCM certification a plus.
  • 2-3 years of HMDA compliance experience with strong regulatory knowledge and focus on risks and controls.
  • Knowledge of internal controls, risk assessments, compliance testing, and analytics.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills for diverse audiences.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and work independently.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • High ethical standards and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and relationship management.
  • Autonomous, self-motivated, and adaptable to change.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The position offers a salary range of $70,000 to $80,000 annually, depending on experience and location. Additional incentives include short-term and deferred incentive compensation, contingent on performance. Benefits details are available upon request.

This role may be Mobile or Home-based, supporting Key's Mobile by Design approach, allowing flexible work arrangements.
