Job summary

Meta is seeking a senior Failure Analysis Engineer to own end-to-end analysis of electromechanical hardware, from intake to corrective action. You will classify failures, perform root-cause investigations, and drive CAPA across design and supply chains.

The role demands hands-on lab work, data-driven decision making, and collaboration with ME/EE/FW teams. Experience with DFMEA/8D, metrology, and large test-data pipelines is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent practical experience.
• Extensive hands-on failure analysis on electromechanical hardware.
• Strong root-cause methodologies (5-Why, fishbone, DOE) and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end failure analysis for hardware units and drive corrective actions.
• Build and maintain a failure taxonomy to transfer root causes across units.
• Diagnose failures using signatures across mechanical, electrical, firmware, and thermal domains.
• Develop analysis tooling (Python) to parse test reports and time-series data.
• Lead NC/CAPA workflows and document findings for reviews.
• Collaborate with design, ME/EE/FW, and suppliers on containment and fixes.
• Perform physical FA including teardown, metrology, and cross-sectioning.
