Job summary

The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston is seeking a clinically oriented Therapeutic Medical Physicist for a full-time PhD faculty position. The role focuses on supporting external beam and brachytherapy treatments onsite, with QA duties for EBRT equipment and CT-simulators.

The incumbent will engage in research and education for graduate students and trainees. Requirements include a PhD in Medical Physics or Physics and ABR certification (in progress acceptable).

Qualifications

• PhD in Medical Physics or Physics required.
• ABR certification completed or in progress.
• Residency program graduate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support external beam and brachytherapy treatments at the Houston main campus.
• Participate in quality assurance for EBRT machines, CT-simulators, HDR and PDR units.
• Engage in research and educational programs for graduate students and trainees.
