Job summary
The Department of Radiation Physics at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston seeks a clinically oriented Therapeutic Medical Physicist for a full-time PhD faculty position to support external beam and brachytherapy treatments at HALs in Houston. The role includes QA, research, and education for graduate students and trainees.
Requirements: PhD in Medical Physics or Physics and ABR certification (completed or in progress).
Qualifications
- PhD in Medical Physics or Physics is required.
- ABR certification completed or in progress.
- Residency program graduate preferred.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a large team.
Responsibilities
- Support external beam and brachytherapy treatments at HALs in Houston.
- Participate in quality assurance for EBRT machines, CT-simulators, HDR and PDR units.
- Contribute to research and educational programs for graduate students and trainees.
- Engage in specialized procedures such as 4DCT, SRS, SBRT, IORT, and PDR/HDR gynecological treatments.
