The UPMC Heart and Vascular Institute and Department of Medicine, Division of Cardiology, is recruiting a cardiologist to join our expanding team. The successful candidate will practice as a cardiologist in a dual capacity within the UPMC Heart and Vascular Institute (HVI) and the University of Pittsburgh Department of Medicine, including clinical and research responsibilities. They will participate in outreach efforts for the HVI, expanding inpatient and outpatient activities within the HVI service area. As a faculty member, the candidate will actively participate in the research and educational missions of the HVI.
Cardiology faculty positions at the rank of Assistant Professor of Medicine should demonstrate teaching ability, experience in advanced study and research, or professional experience enabling an academic contribution. The candidate should possess a doctoral or appropriate professional degree.

They should exhibit promise of originality and excellence in teaching, writing, or research, and have demonstrated ability in guiding and counseling students.
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
Qualified applicants must hold doctoral-level education in medicine (MD, DO), be board certified or eligible, qualified for medical licensure in Pennsylvania, and have completed necessary training in Cardiology to provide clinical service.
