The Rutgers New Jersey Medical School is seeking candidates for a non-tenure track faculty appointment. The successful candidate will be expected to join an existing multi-disciplinary team of faculty and staff, in the Office of Education, to teach and assess learning of gross anatomy, microanatomy, functional anatomy, medical imaging, histology, and embryology. The successful candidate will collaborate with both Basic Science and Clinical faculty as well as course leads to integrate and reinforce anatomical concepts throughout the curriculum. Candidates will have the opportunity to work with junior colleagues and mentor medical students. The candidates will also pursue educational innovation of the curriculum with use of a hybrid format with pro-sections and virtual as well as online learning to enhance teaching of anatomy concepts. Knowledge of human anatomy is essential to be considered for this position. The candidates should be a competent decision maker, a team player, and a creative problem solver.

Candidates are required to have a Doctoral degree (e.g., MD, PhD, DPT ) in the anatomy-related field, from an accredited institution. Candidates that apply must have experience in planning, implementing and assessing curricula in anatomy for health profession students.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Candidates with additional experience in innovative educational practices, use of medical imaging for anatomy education, and prior experience teaching in a LCME -accredited medical school are encouraged to apply. Candidates with evidence of medical education excellence, innovation, and scholarship will be strongly considered, as will evidence of teaching effectiveness and teamwork (awards, etc.) and experience in the operation and management of a willed-body program.
