Job description

The Emory Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery is seeking a full-time board-eligible/board-certified plastic surgeon with expertise in microsurgery at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level.

Our microsurgical volume has grown significantly, and we are launching a microsurgical fellowship next year. We are seeking a surgeon to join our busy, growing academic reconstructive practice. The microsurgical practice is primarily focused on breast reconstruction, with additional opportunities in general cancer reconstruction and complex soft-tissue coverage.

This is an excellent opportunity for a surgeon interested in developing a robust academic practice within a nationally recognized academic medical center. The position offers significant opportunities to grow both an inpatient and/or outpatient clinical practice, while contributing to resident and fellow education, clinical research, and the advancement of plastic surgery.

The Division is experiencing continued growth, with current opportunities and clinical needs including:

  • Microsurgical reconstruction
  • Breast reconstruction
  • General cancer reconstruction
  • Abdominal wall reconstruction
  • Complex soft-tissue reconstruction
  • Body contouring
  • General reconstructive surgery
  • Aesthetic surgery

The primary practice locations will be Emory University Hospital and Emory University Hospital Midtown, with additional opportunities available at other Emory hospitals throughout the Atlanta metropolitan area.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing division, contribute to the education of plastic surgery residents and fellows, develop a successful clinical practice, and participate in the continued advancement of an academic plastic surgery program in Atlanta, Georgia.
