Responsibilities include delivering excellent patient care, teaching residents and medical students, and conducting high-quality research.




Applicants must be board-certified or eligible in Ophthalmology and fellowship-trained in retina. Applicants must also be eligible for licensure in the District of Columbia at the time of appointment.

The George Washington University Medical Faculty Associates, an independent non-profit academic clinical practice group affiliated with The George Washington University, seeks to fill a full-time faculty position in Medical/Surgical retina. The Department of Ophthalmology is part of a growing academic health center located in the heart of a world-class, vibrant metropolitan area and its cultural, family, and educational opportunities.


Appointment rank (Instructor/Assistant Professor/Associate Professor/Full Professor) and salary will be commensurate with experience. This position is expected to begin as early as July 2025.
