Job summary

The Department of Chemistry at the University of Texas at Austin invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in synthetic chemistry. We seek candidates whose research spans synthetic organic, organometallic, inorganic and/or materials chemistry and who will establish a vibrant, externally funded program.

Successful candidates will contribute to teaching at undergraduate and graduate levels, mentor a diverse student body, and participate in department and university service.

Applicants are expected to establish and sustain a vibrant researchprogram; serve as dedicated teachers and mentors to ourincreasingly diverse students at both the undergraduate andgraduate levels; and assist in the administrative and governancefunctions of the department, the university and the profession viaservice on committees, as appropriate. Applicants for the positionof Assistant Professor must have a promising research agenda, and astrong commitment to graduate and undergraduate student educationand success.
