The Division of General Internal Medicine in the Department of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Assistant Professor positions in the non-tenure academic clinician track. Applicants must have an M.D. degree. Board certified/eligible in Internal Medicine is required.
Teaching responsibilities may include precepting residents and interns throughout their General Medicine rotations. Successful candidates will also have the opportunity to participate in UME or GME educational programs. The academic clinician track requires 100 credits per year of active and high-quality teaching.
Clinical responsibilities may include sessions providing direct patient care in one of our ambulatory sites, Edward S. Cooper, Penn Internal Medicine University City, Penn Center for Primary Care, Pennsylvania Hospital Wood Clinic. Clinical responsibilities may also include serving as inpatient attending at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Penn Presbyterian Medical Center or Pennsylvania Hospital. Providing after hours phone coverage may also be included.
