West Virginia University School of Medicine and the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Sciences seek a fellowship-trained, board certified or board eligible Urogynecologist to join our growing team in Morgantown, West Virginia.

The Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Sciences was established to advance the health and wellbeing of the women of West Virginia and surrounding Region. Our faculty are nationally respected and board certified and are committed to providing quality health care services to all women; educating health care providers; and conducting research to advance our understanding of Obstetrics and Gynecology. We are recognized for our care of women with high-risk pregnancies and advanced Gynecologic problems. Our high-risk pregnancy physicians are backed up by the largest NICU in the state while our gynecologic surgeons are trained in advanced minimally invasive and robotic surgery. Our infertility practice has an IVF pregnancy rate that exceeds national success rates.

Morgantown is consistently rated as one of the best small metropolitan areas in the country for both lifestyle and business climate. The area offers the cultural diversity and amenities of a large city in a safe, family-friendly environment. Brian Casey, MD

Chair, Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Sciences

Brian Casey, MD joined the WVU Medicine team in March of 2024 as Chair, Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Sciences.Dr. Casey brings with him and extensive background in high-quality healthcare and a commitment to improving care for women in West Virginia and beyond.

Casey joined WVU Medicine from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where he held numerous leadership roles, including the Vice Chair of Obstetrics, Division Director of Maternal-Fetal Medicine, assistant program director of the MFM Fellowship, alternate principal investigator for theEunice Kennedy-ShriverNational Institute of Child Health and Human Development Maternal-Fetal Medicine Units Network, and the interim director of the Obstetric Medical Complications Clinic.

Before his time in Alabama, Casey served as MFM division director, MFM fellowship director at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, principal investigator for the Dallas MFMU Network site, and as Chief of Obstetrics for Parkland Health and Hospital System in Texas. He also serves as an editor ofWilliams Obstetrics. Casey completed his fellowship in MFM at UT Southwestern/Parkland Health and Hospital System in Dallas, Texas, and his residency at Saint Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, NJ. He received his medical degree from the Temple University School of Medicine.
