The Faculty Physician also assists management in developing policies and procedures relating to patient needs.# **Job Description:**## Essential Duties and Responsibilities:* Provide quality treatment to all patients in a professional manner* Participate in the teaching/training program(s)* Communicate with administrators, and Physicians to facilitate practice operations* Participate in team effort to guarantee efficient services to patients* Conforms to the ethical code of conduct of his/her professional organization, to the Wayne Health Corporate Compliance Program and all standards of the Code of Conduct, Code of Ethics, and to clinic policies and procedures* Maintains a current professional license, professional liability insurance at limits required by Wayne Health Credentialing as applicable* Attend meetings and training as requested including participation in mandatory annual Wayne Health training in such areas as: recipient rights, confidentiality, corporate compliance, prevention of violence and management of unsafe behaviors, and cultural competence* Participates in professional development activities and keeps current with healthcare trends and practices* Obeys confidentiality as required by all federal, state, regulatory and Wayne Health policies* Perform related duties as assigned* Additional duties: · Inpatient and outpatient Infectious Diseases consultation for oncology and transplant populations at Karmanos Cancer Institute · Development and expansion of transplant and immunocompromised host ID services in collaboration with oncology and transplant teams Additional Qualifications: · Fellowship training or demonstrated focused expertise in Transplant Infectious Diseases or Immunocompromised Host Infectious Diseases## Education, Licensure/Certification, and Training:* Licensed M.D. or D.O. Board eligible## Skills and Abilities:* High level of interpersonal skills, written and verbal, necessary to effectively communicate, establish, and maintain productive working relationships with people inside and outside the Department and/or Practice* Excellent analytical ability necessary to independently identify and resolve extremely complex and unusual problems or discrepancies* Clinical knowledge to meet the medical requirements relating to various procedures* Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding patients, personnel and/or financial data* Excellent organizational skills to work independently, prioritize, handle multiple tasks, and manage time* Patient management skills necessary to provide quality care## Safety Requirements:* Compliance with Department Health and Safety policies and procedures## Working Conditions/Schedule:* Hours and days to be determined by the business need of the department.
