Faculty Physician - Nephrologist (Assistant or Associate Professor - Academic or Master Clinician Track)

The Division of Nephrology and Hypertension at the University of Minnesota is seeking a full-time, board-certified/eligible Nephrologist at the Assistant or Associate Professor rank, on an academic or master clinician track, depending on qualifications and interest.

Position Highlights:

1. Clinical practice will include outpatient care at the state-of-the-art M Health Clinics and Surgery Center, with potential additional outpatient locations in Minneapolis.
2. Provide inpatient consult services at the M Health Fairview University of Minnesota Medical Center in Minneapolis.
3. The division comprises 14 nephrologists and 4 transplant nephrologists, many of whom are renowned clinicians and researchers.

About the Division:

The Division's core missions are to provide comprehensive care for patients with kidney disease or hypertension, conduct cutting-edge research, and train future physicians. Faculty are expected to contribute to the academic mission of the Department of Medicine and the Division of Nephrology and Hypertension.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited ACGME internal medicine residency and nephrology fellowship program.
• Board eligible/certified with the American Board of Internal Medicine and Nephrology.
• Licensed or able to obtain medical license and DEA in Minnesota.
• Meet credentialing and privileges criteria.
• Ability to obtain work authorization in the U.S. and maintain legal status under VISA regulations.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Interest in clinical or translational research is desirable; research experience is preferred but not required.

Pay and Benefits:

This position is jointly employed by University of Minnesota Physicians and the University of Minnesota. Salary is competitive and based on AAMC benchmarks, with a clinical salary range of $208,058 - $362,104, depending on experience. Additional academic compensation depends on effort.
