Job summary

Saint Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix, AZ, invites an experienced Faculty Physician to support the BNI neuro-anesthesiology team. You will supervise residents and fellows, provide inpatient/outpatient care, and contribute to teaching across the department.

You will lead clinical teaching for medical students and staff, participate in meaningful research, and engage in quality improvement initiatives while aligning with the hospital's Humankindness mission.

Qualifications

  • MD or DO degree.
  • Successful completion of a residency program.
  • AZ MD License required.
  • Board qualifed or certified.
  • Credentialed SJHMC in good standing.
  • Membership in professional associations and societies.

Responsibilities

  • Teaches the lay community, medical students, residents and medical staff.
  • Assists in directing the patient care and medical education.
  • Participates in preparation of meaningful research and scientific activities.
  • Assists department in collecting data for medical quality/QI program.
  • Prepares articles and presentations on behalf of the organization.
  • Provides input to department leadership in development of action plans to achieve financial performance objectives.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As ourFaculty Physician, you will help the BNI staff neuro-anesthesiologist providedmedical services within the scope of their licensing, training, and clinical privileges, and supervise and teach residents and/or fellowsso they canensure high quality care and educate future medical professionals.

Every day you willteach the community, medical students, residents, and medical staff on various clinical subjects. You will be expected toprovide direct inpatient/outpatient medical care to patients and consultations, participate in meaningful research, and actively contribute to the department's quality improvement initiatives.

To be successful in this role, you mustpossess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a strong commitment to teaching and mentorship, and a dedication to patient care and continuous quality improvement.
