Job Title: Faculty Pediatric Ophthalmologist, Central/Southeast MA

Job Description:

We seek a full-time, board-eligible/certified comprehensive pediatric ophthalmologist to join the Boston Children’s Hospital’s Ophthalmology Department, with a faculty appointment at Harvard Medical School at the Instructor/Assistant Professor level. The anticipating ranking for this position is Instructor, Assistant Professor, or Associate Professor depending upon experience. Our 2025 faculty practice includes a team of 30 pediatric ophthalmologists & subspecialists and 10 optometrists providing comprehensive care as well as focused pediatric expertise within nearly every ophthalmology subspecialty. We serve patients in 11 locations across the Northeast, including Boston Children’s Hospital and Mass Eye & Ear sites. We have a deeply integrated pediatric ophthalmology care collaboration with surrounding institutions including resident training in pediatric ophthalmology for Harvard Medical School, Boston University, and the University of Massachusetts. Collaborative research opportunities abound.

The department continues to expand its mission of providing our patients with ready access to the highest quality pediatric ophthalmology and adult strabismus care. Our work extends across the full spectrum of clinical care, teaching, vision science, and advocacy. We pride ourselves on having a knowledgeable, accessible staff focused on care, research, and teaching and are looking to add a motivated, well-trained individual who shares in that vision.
