Job description

Faculty position employed by the University of Texas at Tyler School of Medicine, practicing in UT Health East Texas facilities. The position is a full-time Faculty BE/BC OB/GYN physician to join the established clinic in Athens, TX.

About the Position

Current team comprises 1 OB/GYN and 9 Family Practitioners also practicing OB.
Market requires 1,000 deliveries annually.
DaVinci GYN surgery available.
Excellent communication skills, bilingual preferred.
Team oriented and motivated by opportunity to contribute to growing academic environment.
20-25 patients per day.
Monday-Thursday full time; Friday 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.
50% outpatient / 50% inpatient.
15-bed Level I nursery if needed.
Dedicated surgery suite for cesarean sections.
Eight private postpartum rooms.
Epidural pain management.
Interpreters and/or language access services.
Lactation education.
Live online birthing classes.
Nine large labor, delivery, recovery and postpartum rooms.
Smart technology: Epic EMR and Ambience AI scribe technology to automate documentation, reduce administrative burden, improve patient flow, ensure accurate coding, leading to better work-life balance and revenue.
