The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering www.uvu.edu/cet/ece/ at Utah Valley University invites applications for a faculty lecturer position in Electrical and Computer Engineering to begin January 1, 2027.

The electrical and computer engineering lecturer teaches undergraduate courses, such as circuit theory, electronic systems lab, engineering analysis, and applied probability and statistics for engineers. The faculty member attends and participates in department meetings and may serve on department committees related to their area of expertise and teaching.

The department will accept qualified applicants but is particularly interested in applicants with experience who can legally work in the United States. The department will accept qualified applicants in all fields of electrical and computer engineering, including power systems, parallel and distributed systems, mobile systems, control systems, electromagnetic and transmission lines, embedded systems, neural networks, communication systems, VLSI design, digital signal processing, electronics, networking and security, image processing, robotics, programming languages, and computer architecture.

Will teach students to understand and appreciate Electrical and Computer Engineering topics. Design laboratory courses and prepare laboratory instructional materials. Cultivate a student-centered learning environment and help students succeed. Assess teaching results and apply results to improve courses, laboratories, curriculum, and teaching effectiveness. Coordinate and participate in recruitment activities for the Department.

The Electrical and Computer Engineering Department offers ABET-accredited Bachelor of Science degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering. The recently constructed Scott M. Smith Engineering and Technology Building opened January 6, 2026.

Qualifications / Licenses / Certifications
  • Graduation from an accredited institution with a master'sdegree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or arelated discipline.

  • Practical experience in the electrical engineering and computerengineering areas.
