Job summary

Emory University School of Medicine's Department of Pediatrics seeks a Vice Chair for Faculty Development to lead programs for clinicians, researchers, and educators, aligning with patient care, education, and discovery across Emory and Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.

Reporting to the Chair, this strategic leader will expand mentoring, career pathways (C3PO), CCPR, and faculty engagement while partnering with HR and School of Medicine to ensure confidentiality, compliance, and excellence in

Qualifications

MD or DO from an accredited institution.
Board Certification in Pediatrics or Pediatric Subspecialty.
Eligible for medical licensure in Georgia.

Responsibilities

Develop and lead faculty development initiatives including mentoring, onboarding, workshops, and CCPR processes.
Oversee CCPR and the Emory Annual Report to ensure accuracy and comprehensiveness.
Advise the Chair on faculty performance, behavior concerns, and professional development strategies.
Lead and coordinate the career pathway planning infrastructure (C3PO) and faculty development initiatives across Emory and CHOA.
Collaborate with division chiefs, program leaders, and Human Resources to support faculty advancement and organizational goals.
