Job summary

Bering-Alaka`ina Holdings, LLC seeks a Faculty Development Coordinator to support the government customer at Wright Patterson AFB in Dayton, OH. You will collaborate with QA, course directors, instructors, and the Office of the Dean to develop and deliver professional development for instructors and ensure compliance with accrediting agencies.

The role requires 3+ years in higher education faculty development, strong Office 365 skills, and experience with data reporting and course evaluations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in education, instructional design or curriculum development, organizational development, or related field with relevant experience.
  • Master's degree in education, instructional design or curriculum development, organizational development, or related field is highly desired.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience managing a higher education faculty development program.
  • Proficient in Office 365 tools (MS Windows, MS Access, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Publisher, MS Teams, MS Planner, MS Power BI, Microsoft Forms).
  • 3+ years experience working in a team-based environment with multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience with databases or tracking systems for data entry, analysis, and reporting.
  • Experience with course evaluations and implementing improvement plans.
  • Willingness to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement.
  • Attend the CCAF Affiliate School Liaison training (government expense).

Responsibilities

  • Support Annual Course Reviews to evaluate course effectiveness and instructor proficiency.
  • Develop, design, and deliver education and training for instructor development.
  • Ensure compliance with institutional, accrediting and regulatory policies.
  • Attend training and meetings as directed by government representatives.
  • Manage and coordinate complex educational initiatives and special projects.
  • Provide data-driven reports on program compliance and performance metrics.
  • Support testing, curriculum development, and instructor qualifications tracking.
  • Collaborate with Office of the Dean personnel and external partners as directed.

Job description

Bering-Alaka`ina Holdings, LLC has a potential need for a Faculty Development Coordinator to provide support for our government customer in Dayton, OH at Wright Patterson Air Force Base.

DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Work collaboratively on a team with the quality assurance program manager, course directors, other instructors, and the Office of the Dean personnel to provide support for Annual Course Reviews to evaluate course effectiveness, ensure the integrity of the training, and instructor proficiency as directed by government representatives.
  • Develop, design, and deliver education and training professional development for the full spectrum of instructors as required by government representatives.
  • Perform all duties associated with institutional, accrediting and regulatory agency policies and procedures.
  • Attend and participate in training and meetings as directed by the government representatives.
  • Independently manage, coordinate, and execute complex educational initiatives and special projects within their skillset. This includes writing continuity documents, collaborating with local colleges or multi-service partners, presenting at local eLearning symposiums, and defining capabilities for potential customers. Ensure all deliverable materials, briefings, and liaison efforts are conveyed through clear, concise, and professional written and verbal communication to effectively engage stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • Support the quality assurance program manager, course directors and course development managers, and other Office of the Dean personnel on resolving End of Course (EOC) survey feedback to develop SMART action plans used for course and instructional improvement as required by government representatives.
  • Support the testing program with student and instructor testing as required by government representatives.
  • Support the curriculum development manager with course development and updates as required by government representatives.
  • Support the Faculty Development program by reviewing, updating, maintaining, and communicating instructor qualifications to ensure faculty are properly trained and remain fully qualified to teach and ensuring adherence to all regulatory and policy requirements as directed by the government representatives.
  • Support the Faculty Development program using the instructor qualification tracking database for data entry, troubleshooting the platform, and creating and analyzing reports regarding instructor qualification requirements as directed by the government representatives.
  • Support the Faculty Development, Quality Assurance, and Testing programs by evaluating, communicating, and tracking program requirements with course directors, instructors, Office of the Dean personnel, and Department leaders as directed by the government representatives.
  • Support the Faculty Development program by managing faculty/institutional credentialing programs to include evaluating educational programs, and faculty evaluations and effectiveness as directed by the government representatives.
  • Support the Office of the Dean by working with CCAF as an Affiliate School Liaison as directed by the government representatives.
  • Analyze data and develop reports reflecting program compliance and performance metrics as directed by the government representatives.
  • Support other education and training mission-related duties as assigned within the Office of the Dean as directed by the government representatives.
  • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
REQUIRED DEGREE/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION
  • Minimum have a bachelor’s degree in education, instructional design or curriculum development, organizational development, or related field with relevant experience performing the tasks associated with this position.
  • A master’s degree in education, instructional design or curriculum development, organizational development, or related field with relevant experience is Highly desired.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
  • Include a minimum of 3 years of experience managing a higher education faculty development program such as managing instructor qualifications and/or a quality assurance program as demonstrated in their resume or other official document.
  • Be proficient in Office 365 tools (ex. MS Windows, MS Access, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Publisher, MS Teams, MS Planner, MS Power BI, and Microsoft Forms) as demonstrated in their resume or other official documents.
  • Have a minimum of 3 years of experience working effectively in a team-based environment with multiple stakeholders (e.g., program managers, subject matter experts, and leadership) as demonstrated in their resume or other official documents.
  • Have a proven ability to use databases or tracking systems for data entry, analysis, and report generation to inform program decisions.
  • Have experience with course evaluations, analyzing feedback (such as end-of-course surveys) and implementing improvement plans.
  • Must be willing and able to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement.
  • Required to attend the CCAF Affiliate School Liaison training. It will be offered at government expense and location of the course offered shall be an alternate work location for the employee. This is government unique training which cannot be obtained in the civilian community.
DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
  • Be familiar with Air Force Formal Training and educational accreditation and compliance.
  • Have experience working within the Department of War (DoW), the Department of the Air Force, Community College of the Air Force (CCAF) educational or training environments as an instructor, administrator, or liaison.
  • Possess a certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP), Program Management Professional (PgMP), or be a Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM).
  • Have experience in managing instructor qualifications, conducting instructor evaluations, and providing professional development for teaching staff.
REQUIRED CITIZENSHIP AND CLEARANCE
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Must be able to pass a Tier 1/SF85 background investigation.
