The Division of Critical Care Medicine within the Department of Anesthesiology focuses on the care of the perioperative patient, optimizing them for surgery or managing their post-surgical needs.

Opportunity Highlights

1. Join Northwestern Memorial's dynamic medical center, excelling in high-acuity cardiothoracic and transplant surgeries.
2. Provide round-the-clock care to the most critically ill patients.
3. Guaranteed ICU coverage at least 8 weeks per year, up to 26 weeks annually.
4. Work in a multidisciplinary fashion, together with surgeons, nurses, pharmacists, physical/occupational therapists, and social workers, caring for patients when they are most vulnerable.
5. Receive strong mentoring from senior attendings dedicated to supporting new team members.
6. Work alongside 7 to 8 expert cardiac surgeons, each excelling in their unique surgical specialties.
