The College of Nursing and Health Care Professions has openings for a full-time instructor to teach Community Health in the ABSN Program. As a faculty member, you’ll provide instruction using innovative methodologies, cutting-edge technologies, and industry trends reflecting advancements in your discipline.

Schedule: Remote, full-time, Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm AZ time

Courses and Clinical Areas: Community, Population Health, Home Health

Responsibilities:

1. Teach online undergraduate courses, develop engaging activities, and stimulate discussions
2. Incorporate current teaching methodologies, technologies, and trends in Community Health
3. Foster an online culture of learning
4. Administer and grade exams, assignments, and participation activities
5. Mentor students outside of class and support their success
6. Assist in curriculum design and advocate for educational improvements
7. Participate in college committees to advance educational goals
8. Provide leadership and mentorship to adjunct faculty

Qualifications:

1. Master’s degree (MSN) required; Certified Nurse Educator (CNE) preferred
2. At least 2 years of direct patient care in Home Health, Community, or Public Health
3. Active, unencumbered RN license in AZ or a compact state
4. Experience teaching in a nursing program and online teaching experience
5. Professional involvement evidenced by memberships, presentations, research, or publications
