Teach a wide range of courses in the Computer and Information Technology Programs, such as Computer Programming (C#, C++, Java, Python, etc), Database, Scripting, Web Development, Version Control, Computer Literacy, Computer Application (MS Office, Project Management), and Software and Hardware Architecture.
Have, or be willing to obtain after hire, cybersecurity-specific industry certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Network+, CySA+, CEH, SSCP, or Cisco CyberOps Associate. Certifications are not required for consideration; the college supports faculty certification through professional development funding where available.
There is a potential to teach a wide range of courses in Information Technology programs such as Unix/Linux, Hardware and Software, Cisco Networking Academy including VoIP and firewalls, Microsoft Server, VMware, Cloud, AI, or Cybersecurity classes.
Assists in maintaining instructional equipment, helps develop curriculum, and participates in department and college committees. Industry recognized certifications required to teach some courses. Teaching schedules vary between day, evening, and/or weekends. May assume a departmental leadership role.
