Muskegon Community College is a center for lifelong learning thathelps people attain their educational goals by offering programsthat respond to individual, community, and global needs. MCC is anassociate degree-granting institution of higher education and anapplied technology leader for high-tech, hands-on training.

With nearly a 100-year history of academic excellence, MCC is apublic community college accredited by the Higher LearningCommission. Most recently, Muskegon Community College outranked all othercolleges in Michigan for the rate of students who received federalfinancial aid and then transferred to continue their education at afour-year institution. The College has an annual operating budget (general fund) of $51million and employs about 210 regular full and part-time staff andmany adjunct faculty and student assistants. The College alsooffers 52 Associate degree programs and 24 certificateprograms.

1. Bachelor’s Degree in CAD (Computer-Aided Design), Engineeringor a related field (Master’s Degree preferred).

3. Demonstrated excellence in communication and presentation skills, both oral and written, which transcend multipleaudiences.
4. Successful teaching experience and commitment to working with avarying population of students and staff.

6. The ability to facilitate varied teaching methods (i.e.lecture, class discussion, testing, presentations) to enhancestudent learning and completion. Online teaching experience orwillingness to complete online teaching training.
7. Willingness to teach during the day, at night, and online, aswell as at the main campus and extension centers.
8. Experience in educational theory and techniques, teaching,experience at the post‑second level preferred。

Essential Function

1. Teach assigned course load which may include day, night, andonline courses, as well as at the main campus and extensioncenters. Classes are to meet on time for the full allottedtime.
2. Establish and promote an effective learning environment thatmaximizes documented student learning.
3. P articipate in professional development activities andmaintain current knowledge in the discipline.
4. Prepare, submit and maintain reports related to studentlearning.
5. Develop or assist in development of curriculum including reviewor revision to keep programs relevant.
6. Grade assignments in a meaningful way to promote continuedstudent growth, return graded assignments to students in a timelymanner, and assign final grades for all students, meeting orexceeding all institutional deadlines for completion.
7. Provide educational assistance to students during regularlyscheduled and posted times (i.e., office hours) or byappointmen
8. Collaborate with outside universities and institutions topromote and expand educational opportunities.
9. Ensure student opinion surveys are conducted for each class andthen reviewed after summary information is available to assist withincreasing student success.
10. Participate in the instructor evaluation process which assessesthe following:
