This PCC position is a full-time, in-person role with structured faculty responsibilities, ASE-focused instruction, and opportunities for professional development.
Responsibilities
- Provide classroom, laboratory, or hybrid instruction in automotive service technology.
- Plan and deliver instruction in accordance with approved syllabi, curriculum guidelines, and ASE program standards.
- Engage in student advisement, registration, and support activities.
- Participate in program development, assessment, marketing, and retention efforts.
- Model professionalism and maintain cultural competency in teaching practices.
- Teach ASE courses as assigned; use classroom, hybrid, or online modalities.
- Maintain scheduled office hours (minimum five per week).
- Supervise and enforce safety procedures in labs and workshops.
- Assist in curriculum development, training instructors, and program evaluation.
- Serve on college committees or special task forces.
- Engage in professional development in active learning and cultural competency.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience
- Completion of credentialing programs in Automotive Service Technology or related fields.
- Minimum 3 years of related professional experience.
- At least 2 years teaching experience in higher education.
- Experience in curriculum development at the post-secondary level.
Licenses & Certifications
- Possession or ability to obtain Colorado CTE credentials.
- ASE certifications (G-1 and A1–A8) or ability to obtain.
Skills & Knowledge
- Knowledge of best practices in post-secondary instruction.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Learning Management Systems.
- Strong communication in English; mobility on campus; ability to lift 25 lbs.
