Job description

The Division of Vascular Surgery in the Department of Surgery is recruiting a fellowship-trained surgeon with expertise in the full spectrum of endovascular and open vascular surgery to work at NYP's new clinical site at 1111 Westchester Avenue in White Plains, NY. Applicants should be committed to a robust and collaborative clinical practice within a dynamic academic medical center, dedicated to active participation in the education of fellows, residents and medical students and motivated to engage in clinical and translational research.


The candidate will be expected to evaluate patients in the outpatient clinic at one or more of our ofce locations, performing both elective and emergency endovascular and open vascular surgery procedures at the attending level. Call coverage will include one or more of our associated NYP hospitals. The scope of practice will include all aspects of a contemporary vascular surgery practice; medical management, as well as inpatient and outpatient procedures for the management of vascular disorders, including cerebrovascular disease, dialysis access, abdominal and thoracic aneurysms, peripheral vascular disease, venous disease, and other arterial and venous disorders.



Interested candidates should have excellent clinical judgement, technical skills, professionalism, and demonstrate a strong interest in and history of peer-reviewed publications.



Additional responsibilities include participation in the academic and research missions of the University and the Department of Surgery in accordance with our compliance and excellence in quality care programs, to include active participation in the education medical students, residents and fellows.



Hiring salary range is $94,945 - $125,187 (minimum faculty base for rank). The final salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Finalist will be appointed as an Instructor rank until they are board certified and then will be promoted to Assistant Professor at CUMC rank.



MD or DO. Completion of General Surgery residency and Vascular Surgery fellowship or an Integrated Vascular Surgery training program in good standing. Completion or eligibility for the Registered Physician in Vascular Interpretation certification
