Key Responsibilities:
  • Helps to maintain and improve the IT technical systems of the Factory.
  • Primary point of contact for Factory IT issues & day‑to‑day Factory Operations team’s IT requirements.
  • Preventive maintenance planning.
  • Coordination of software updates / patches on shop floor machines.
  • Documentation of standard procedures for support of IT‑related operations in manufacturing and distribution for new and existing processes.
  • Coordinate with third‑party vendor support for Factory applications & devices as needed.
  • Coordinate with Corporate IT shared services support as needed to ensure seamless support for operations.
  • Project management for Factory digital transformation / Factory 4.0 projects in coordination with Det‑Tronics operations leadership and Det‑Tronics IT leader.
  • Seeks to understand Factory technology needs; communicates ideas to functional and technical leaders for implementation and development.
  • Provide timely and advance communications to cross‑functional teams on technology system changes related to the Factory Operations.
  • Ability to adjust and adapt to changes in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Reporting to Det‑Tronics IT Leader.
Required Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 5+ years of experience supporting manufacturing information technology in a manufacturing environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associate’s degree.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment with assembly lines requiring extensive testing and calibration.
  • Good oral and written communication skills when interacting with factory personnel and ability to articulate issues and requirements to internal & external support teams.
  • Highly motivated with the ability to take ownership of IT issues and requirements and follow through to conclusion.
  • Clear knowledge and understanding of network topology LAN, WAN, and wireless technologies.
  • Hands‑on IT skills / experience in scripting & troubleshooting applications.
  • Experience or familiarity with any MES system(s) & ERP systems.
  • Knowledge and understanding of MS Access DBs.
  • Knowledge and understanding how databases work with Microsoft SQL 2012 and above.
  • Knowledge and understanding of how Windows Servers 2012 and above operate.
