Job description

Hitachi Energy Transformers- Business Solutions IT Organization is seeking a Factory IT/OT Specialist for our (Plant Name) location.

Job Role Overview:

As IT/OT Specialist, you provide computer onsite support execution for factory or Hitachi Energy site's owned/managed assets and operational support of both office IT and shop floor IT/OT assets that are not supported by the OSS techs. You carry out IT/OT Cybersecurity first responder tasks and IT/OT assets cybersecurity operational tasks.

Your Responsibilities:

1. Provide support to end users, IT equipment, and software in meeting rooms and similar user collaboration/common areas as part of desk-side support.
2. Provide computer onsite support execution for Factory or Hitachi Energy site's owned/managed assets.
3. Carry out OT asset IT/OT Cybersecurity operational tasks.
4. Carry out both Office IT and Shop Floor IT/OT assets operational support, including kiosks, printers, conference rooms/Teams rooms, vending machines, CCTV/security systems, badging, and scanners for MES hardware support.
5. Carry out IT/OT cybersecurity first responder tasks by investigating and determining the scope of incidents and working with the cybersecurity team to contain and remediate the incident, under guidance from the factory incident responder.
6. Identify critical assets: responsible for identifying critical assets within the factory that require monitoring and protection.
7. Install and configure remediation measures: install and configure security patches on critical assets to protect the environment from security incidents, with additional assistance whenever required.
8. Report any abnormal behavior of OT systems: raise alerts to incident response teams in case of detected security events in the operational technology (OT) environment, such as unauthorized access attempts or changes to control systems.
9. Work with vendors to ensure that security patches and OT systems are properly configured and maintained.
10. Implement security measures regarding business-managed assets to ensure that the factory's IT/OT systems are secure and protected from potential security threats, under guidance of global cybersecurity teams and the factory process engineer.

Your Experience:

1. Have completed a formal qualification or apprenticeship in the field of information technology.
2. Have two years of professional experience in IT support.
3. Be fluent in local and English language.
4. Have a proactive and solution-oriented mindset and the ability to work independently and self-driven.
