Form Energy in the United States seeks an exceptional Design Manager to lead the design and execution of our first-of-its-kind battery factory. Based at Form Factory 1 in Weirton, WV, you will connect engineering, manufacturing, construction and operations to keep our top timelines on track.

This role requires strong engineering and project-management skills, plus experience in factory design and material flow.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of engineering experience on manufacturing projects.
• Expertise in factory design, manufacturing flow and construction.
• Advanced project management and ability to handle complex engineering problems.
• Excellent communication and documentation to distill complex problems.
• Strong organizational, leadership and decision-making abilities.
• Experience managing conflicting objectives and tight timelines.

Responsibilities

• Be the bridge between factory engineering/production and the facility design team.
• Manage change requests from inputs through design acceptance.
• Vet and organize project requirements and documentation.
• Facilitate cross-team communication among all members.
• Create and manage design schedules for each project.
• Track status and unblock issues to stay on schedule.
• Hold team members accountable for required tasks.
• Organize design review meetings and verify action item completion.
• Manage contracts for design consultants and track performance.
