Job summary

Nestlé Purina North America in Saint Joseph, MO, is seeking an experienced Factory Controller to oversee the factory's financial controls, budgeting, and compliance within a manufacturing environment. You will lead the factory accounting team, drive month-end close, and report results to senior management while partnering with operations to optimize costs and safeguard assets.

This role requires a Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance, 4+ years in manufacturing accounting, and 2+ years of people

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• 4+ years of experience in general accounting, cost accounting, internal controls, budgeting and variance analysis.
• 2+ years of people leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee factory financial controls, reporting, and asset safeguarding per Nestlé standards.
• Monitor performance and submit month-end results with improvement recommendations.
• Maintain and report budgets for factory and warehouse.
• Guide Factory Management Team and provide training on procedures.
• Direct Factory Accounting Team and support development plans.
• Train accounting personnel on systems and policies.
• Support accounting staff in fulfilling tasks.
• All other duties as assigned.

• Oversee factory financial control measures including compliant controls programs, reporting, and safeguarding of assets according to Nestlé Accounting Standards.
• Monitor and analyze performance, submitting month-end reporting results to appropriate parties, suggesting improvements a needed.
• Maintain, coordinate, and report budgets for the factory and warehouse.
• Provide guidance to the Factory Management Team including conducting special financial studies, evaluating performance measures, and providing training on financial procedures and policies.
• Manage and direct the Factory Accounting Team, providing feedback and evaluation of progress against their development and growth plans.
• Train Accounting Personnel on systems and procedures as needed to comply with Nestlé Accounting Standards and applicable legal requirements.
• Directly support Accounting Personnel in fulfilling all required team tasks and functions as required by the factory and the business.
• All other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
• 4+ years of experience working with general accounting, cost accounting, internal controls, compliance management, budgeting and variance analysis in a manufacturing, industrial, warehouse, military or related environment
• 2+ years of people leadership experience

Salary: $117,095.40 to $162,054.00 per year

Bonus Eligibility: Yes

The pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at top of range.
