Job summary

Siemens Mobility in Lexington, NC is seeking an entry-level Factory Commissioning Test Technician to join our rolling stock team. You will participate in commissioning, troubleshooting, and repairing next-generation light rail, locomotives, and coaches, gaining hands-on experience with electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma (or GED)
  • 2+ years of experience in electrical testing
  • Must be proficient in electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical troubleshooting
  • Associate’s degree in engineering or mechatronics program education or similar preferred

Responsibilities

  • Perform electrical and mechanical commissioning on locomotive and coach cars
  • Troubleshoot, document, and repair electrical and mechanical failures
  • Work with state-of-the‑art diagnostic test equipment.
  • Understand and comply with company and industry safety standards.

Position Overview:

We are looking for an entry-level Factory Commissioning Test Technician to join our team in Lexington, NC! We are willing to train and help you grow in this role. This person will be responsible for commissioning, troubleshooting, and repairing next-generation light rail, locomotives, and coaches. Need to be familiar with electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.

What your day-to-day will look like:
  • Perform electrical and mechanical commissioning on locomotive and coach cars
  • Troubleshoot, document, and repair electrical and mechanical failures
  • Work with state-of-the‑art diagnostic test equipment.

To thrive in this role, you have:

The salary may be higher or lower depending on the budget and the candidate's experience, knowledge, skills, and qualifications.

The pay range for this position is $46,002 - $53,958 annually. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
