Job summary

Chenega MIOS is seeking a Facility Technician I in Huntsville, AL. You will perform technical support and maintenance across maintenance, transportation, inventory, and test operations, including inspecting warehouses and bunkers at Redstone Arsenal.

The role requires lifting up to 100 pounds, operating heavy equipment, and occasional travel to CONUS/OCONUS locations, with nights/weekends as needed. A high school diploma and a valid driver's license are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required or equivalent.
• 1+ years of relevant experience is desired.
• Valid Driver's License is required.
• Interim Secret security clearance is required.

Responsibilities

• Assemble or install equipment or parts requiring simple wiring, soldering, or connecting.
• Perform simple or routine tasks or tests and operate basic test equipment and vehicles.
• Maintain engineering data records, perform basic calculations and plot data.
• Conduct maintenance operations and logistics for fielded systems.
• Work independently to resolve problems and advise staff to meet objectives.
• Maintain inventory, track resupply, and prepare shipping materials.
• Operate/drive vehicles and handling equipment as needed.
• Perform fleet planning, operation, and maintenance tasks.
• Other duties as assigned.

Venturi, LLC, a Chenega company, has an excellent opportunity for a Facility Technician I who will perform technical support engineering from detailed procedures in such areas at Maintenance, Transportation support, Inventory/Warehouse support, and Test and Engineering Operations. The Facility Technician I responsibilities include inspection and maintenance of warehouses and bunkers on Redstone Arsenal, AL.

Responsibilities

• Assemble or install equipment or parts requiring simple wiring, soldering, or connecting.
• Perform simple or routine tasks or tests, such as operating and adjusting simple test equipment, operating vehicles and handling equipment, and maintaining various records.
• Gather and maintain specified records of engineering data such as tests, drawings, inventory records, maintenance records, etc.; perform computations by substituting numbers in specified formulas; plot data and draw simple curves and graphs.
• Conduct maintenance operations.
• Function independently to resolve problems; advises staff members in order to meet established objectives.
• Perform maintenance and other logistics functions on fielded systems.
• Maintain inventory, prepare order quantities, and track resupply activities.
• Perform fleet planning, operation, and maintenance.
• Prepare materials for shipping.
• Operate test and diagnostic equipment.
• Operate handling equipment.
• Operate/Drive various vehicles.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent GED.
  • 1+ years of relevant experience is desired
• Valid Driver's License
• Interim Secret security clearance.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Mechanical aptitude and the ability to conscientiously follow written and verbal instructions
• Proper use of standard hand tools and material handling equipment
• Operation of heavy equipment, including trucks and forklifts, for general material handling
• Ability to maintain a driver's license
• Ability to lift boxes, packages, and equipment weighing up to 100 pounds using proper equipment and lifting techniques.
• Physically fit with full use of arms, legs, and back.
• Ability to obtain and maintain required training and certifications
• Ability to use computers to search for and generate information using Microsoft Office.
• Ability to travel 20-30% to CONUS and OCONUS locations.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and Holidays as required
