Job summary

Phoebe Putney Health System in Americus, GA is seeking a Facility Technician to perform basic maintenance on electrical, HVAC, plumbing and architectural systems in a hospital environment. Architectural systems may include, but are not limited to interior and exterior doors (including fire and some doors), ceiling systems, and wall systems. General tasks may include trouble-shooting minor issues on the pneumatic tube system, patient beds, nurse call systems, and televisions. General tasks also include shop cleanup and other general maintenance and upkeep. Works with a team and takes initiative. Helps maintain departmental compliance with governmental standards with documentation and with computerized maintenance management systems. Maintains a clean, neat and safe work environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required
• Vocational / Technical in Electrical, Mechanical, or Building Maintenance preferred

Work Experience

• Entry Level Electrical repair, HVAC, and/or Mechanical maintenance, installation or contracting (Required)
• 1 year Healthcare or hospital facility maintenance setting (Preferred)
