Job summary

Nammo Perry is seeking a Facility Technician to perform mechanical, carpentry, plumbing, and HVAC-related duties, including PMs and work orders. The role involves working with on-site equipment and vehicles to support daily facility tasks.

The position includes a Monday–Thursday 6:00AM–4:30PM schedule, a strong benefits package, and opportunities to contribute to facility projects while maintaining safety standards on-site.

Qualifications

• Identify energy sources on equipment and apply lockout/tagout procedures.
• Coordinate with safety to obtain green tag when required.
• Identify when hot-work permits are needed and obtain permits.
• Use CMMS to create, document and close work orders with asset/time notes.
• Access PM documentation in CMMS and close PM work orders with proper notes.
• Assess jobs to determine required tools and materials.
• Operate forklift and complete forklift training.
• Assist in PMs and parts changes as needed.
• Complete plant PMs with minimal supervision.
• Follow plant safety policies and maintain a safe work record.
• Demonstrate good interpersonal skills and teamwork.
• Troubleshoot basic HVAC & plumbing issues.
• Install new fixtures (plumbing, carpentry, HVAC).
• Assess plant condition and complete unassigned tasks.

Nammo Perry is a center of excellence for the design, development and production of munitions and pyrotechnic products for the U.S. Department of Defense. Nammo employees working at the Florida site manufacture all types of 40mm low and high velocity ammunition; pyrotechnic marking; signaling and tactical illumination devices; battlefield effects training simulators; demolition charges; hand grenade fuzes; and other ammunition components. Additionally, they provide load, assemble, and pack (LAP) services for large caliber direct-fire ammunition.

The Facility Technician will provide general mechanical, carpentry, plumbing, & HVAC skills required to perform daily facility tasks. These tasks include, but are not limited to PMs, work orders, and facility projects. Will require working with on-site equipment and vehicles.

Schedule: Monday - Thursday 6:00AM - 4:30PM

Physical Requirements:

1. Must submit to and pass a drug test pursuant to Company Drug-Free Workplace Policy which includes random testing
2. Must have good vision (may be corrected)

4. Must be able to sit/stand/walk for prolonged periods of time
5. Must be able to endure sunshine and weather extremes

Knowledge & Skills:

1. 1.) Able to identify energy sources on equipment and use lockout tagout to properly isolate equipment.
2. 2.) Able to coordinate with safety department to obtain green tag when necessary.
3. 3.) Able to identify when a hot-work permit is needed and coordinate with safety department to obtain a permit.
4. 4.) Able to use maintenance CMMS system to properly create, document and close out work orders. This includes entering asset, time and description of work completed.
5. 5.) Able to use maintenance CMMS system to access PM documentation and close out PM work orders with properly documented time and notes.
6. 6.) Able to assess a job and identify the proper tools & material necessary to complete the job.
7. 7.) Able to operate forklift and pass onsite forklift training.
8. 8.) Able to assist on PM’s and Parts changing as needed.
9. 9.) Able to adequately complete plant PM’s as necessary with little to no supervision.
10. 10.) Able to work with a trainer and take instruction.
11. 11.) Able to follow all plant safety policy and have a safe work record.
