Job summary

Triumvirate Environmental is hiring an onsite Facility Technician for our Lowell facility. The role focuses on safe loading/unloading of waste, routine waste tracking, and compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations.

Ideal candidates have a High School diploma, a willingness to learn hazardous waste practices, and the ability to pass physicals and drug screening. Must be able to lift 60 pounds and work overtime with flexible hours.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or equivalent.
• Basic knowledge of or desire to learn hazardous waste industry.
• Successful completion of OSHA/DOT physical examination.
• Become fit tested for a respirator and be comfortable wearing respirator for multiple hours a week.
• Valid driver's license.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States without future sponsorship.
• Must have a reliable form of transportation.
• Must be willing to consent to background checks and pre-employment screenings including drug tests.
• Must be able to lift 60 pounds regularly and work overtime with flexible hours.
• Overtime and flexibility for Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities

• Waste inventory management using Triumvirate designed software and waste tracking system.
• Learn and retain a basic knowledge of daily work practices.
• Familiarize with packaging guidelines and disposal facility selection.
• Understand OSHA regulations, Health and Safety practices, Part B permit, and EPA regulations.
• Communicate effectively with end facilities and colleagues to solve issues.
• WOW! internal and external customers!
• Become forklift trained and operate machinery safely.
• Handle hazardous chemicals and biological waste with PPE; safety sensitive role.

Facility Technician

Triumvirate Environmental, one of the largest environmental services firms in North America, is seeking an onsite Facility Technician for our Lowell Facility team.

This hardworking facility worker and safety oriented individual will be responsible for safe loading and unloading of waste including hazardous waste from trucks during different hours of the day.

This position reports to Facility Manager.

Responsibilities

• Load & unload incoming & outgoing trucks
• Waste inventory management using Triumvirate designed software and computerized waste tracking system
• Learn and retain a basic knowledge of daily work practices
• Become familiar with packaging guidelines and disposal facility selection
• Develop an understanding of OSHA regulations, Triumvirate's Health and Safety Practices, Triumvirate's Part B permit, and EPA regulations
• Communicate effectively with end facilities as well as fellow employees to solve complex issues
• WOW! internal and external customers!
• Become forklift trained and be able to safely operate machinery
• The Facility technician frequently handles hazardous chemicals and biological waste and is responsible for putting on and taking off personal protective equipment. This role is considered safety sensitive.

Basic Requirements

• High School Degree or equivalent
• Basic knowledge of or desire to learn hazardous waste industry
• Successful completion of OSHA/DOT physical examination
• Become fit tested for a respirator and be comfortable wearing respirator for multiple hours a week
• Valid driver's license

Must Haves

• Must be eligible to work in the United States without future sponsorship
• Must have a reliable form of transportation
• Must be willing to consent to Motor Vehicle Record screening, criminal background check, pre-employment physical, and drug screen (inclusive of THC)
• Upon employment, you will be required to participate in a random drug screening program (inclusive of THC) as part of our company's commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy work environment
• Must be able to lift 60 pounds on a regular basis
• Ability to work overtime on a regular basisMust be willing to work flexible hours within the work week (Monday through Friday)

Preferred Requirements

• Prior relevant industry experience
• Active HAZWOPER 24- or 40-hour certification
• Willingness to obtain Commercial Driver's License (CDL)

Pay Range: $21—$25 USD
