Job summary

ABM is seeking a Facility Technician to support the day-to-day operations, maintenance, and appearance of a Class A corporate office campus in El Segundo, CA. The role ensures a safe, clean, and professional environment for tenants and staff.

The position offers 7am-4pm, Monday to Friday with a pay rate of $27.81 per hour, weekly pay, and a comprehensive benefits package. Experience in commercial settings and strong customer service are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED as a minimum education.
• 2+ years in facility maintenance, building operations, or similar.
• Experience in commercial office or campus environments preferred.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, lighting, and electrical systems.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to juggle multiple tasks with attention to detail.
• Proficient with computers, mobile work-order systems, and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections of campus buildings, common areas, mechanical rooms, restrooms, parking structures, and exterior grounds.
• Execute preventive maintenance tasks in accordance with schedules.
• Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs involving lighting, plumbing fixtures, doors, locks, ceilings, flooring, furniture, and finishes.
• Replace lamps, ballasts, lighting controls, and related components.
• Monitor HVAC equipment and report deficiencies to building engineering staff.
• Assist with basic maintenance of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems.
• Ensure building systems operate efficiently and support tenant comfort.
• Conduct safety inspections and identify potential hazards.
• Maintain compliance with OSHA regulations, company policies, and procedures.
• Follow all lockout/tagout and life-safety procedures.

Job description

The Facility Technician is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations, maintenance, and appearance of Class A, a multi-building corporate office campus located in El Segundo, California. This position plays a critical role in ensuring a safe, clean, efficient, and professional environment for tenants, visitors, and campus employees.

Shift: 7am to 4pm Monday - Friday

Payrate: $27.81 hourly rate | Weekly pay

Location: El Segundo, Ca

Required Qualifications

• -Minimum of 2 years of facility maintenance, building operations, hospitality facilities, or commercial property experience.
• -Experience working in commercial office buildings, campus environments, or corporate facilities preferred.
• -Basic knowledge of building systems including HVAC, plumbing, lighting, and electrical systems.
• -Strong customer service and communication skills.
• -Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail.
• -Proficiency with computers, mobile work-order systems, and Microsoft Office applications.
