Job summary

ABM Industries seeks a Facility Technician to support day-to-day operations, maintenance, and appearance of Class A multi-building corporate office campus in El Segundo, CA. You will help ensure a safe, clean, efficient, and professional environment for tenants, visitors and staff.

The role follows a 7am–4pm, Monday–Friday shift with a $27.81 hourly pay rate, weekly pay, and a non-union work setting offering a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 2 years of facility maintenance, building operations, hospitality facilities, or commercial property experience.
• Experience working in commercial office buildings, campus environments, or corporate facilities preferred.
• Basic knowledge of building systems including HVAC, plumbing, lighting, and electrical systems.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail.
• Proficiency with computers, mobile work-order systems, and Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections of campus buildings, common areas, mechanical rooms, restrooms, parking structures, and exterior grounds.
• Execute preventive maintenance tasks in accordance with established schedules.
• Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs involving lighting, plumbing fixtures, doors, locks, ceilings, flooring, furniture, and building finishes.
• Replace lamps, ballasts, lighting controls, and related components.
• Monitor the condition and operation of HVAC equipment and report deficiencies to building engineering staff.
• Assist with basic maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Ensure building systems operate efficiently and support tenant comfort.
• Conduct safety inspections and identify potential hazards.
• Maintain compliance with OSHA regulations, company policies, and property operating procedures.
• Follow all lockout/tagout and life-safety procedures.
