Job summary

Grace Church is seeking a reliable Facility Team member for the Middleburg Heights Campus to keep the building and grounds in excellent condition for worship, service, and activities.

This part-time role requires availability for weekday evenings and weekend shifts, and the ability to work independently or with others. You will set up rooms, maintain cleanliness, assist with A/V needs, and perform light maintenance and occasional vehicle driving.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs.
• Own a working smartphone to download apps.

Responsibilities

• Room setups for classes/events and A/V support
• Keep building and grounds clean
• Lock up after events and building clearance
• Light seasonal grounds upkeep and trash removal
• Occasionally drive church vehicles

Availability required

• Some weekday evenings 4 or 6-10pm; Saturdays and/or Sundays 2-10pm

Position Purpose

Keep the building and property in great condition for people coming to worship, serve, meet with others, and participate in various activities that happen here at Grace Church. This role requires a friendly, energetic, and self-motivated person who loves the Lord Jesus and is able to work well with others, as well as by themselves.

Main Responsibilities

• Setting up rooms for classes and events
• Keeping the building and grounds clean
• Locking up after building is cleared

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Room setups for classes and events - tables, chairs, tablecloths, tech setups, etc.
  
• Some easy technical and A/V setups for classrooms and special events
• Floor cleaning - use industrial vacuums/equipment to keep hallways and classrooms clean on a regular basis
• Regular dusting, trash removal, spot cleaning
• Regular restroom cleaning - cleaning, mopping, restocking dispensers
• Deep cleaning - quarterly/as necessary
• Occasionally drive church vehicles
• Seasonal outdoor/grounds upkeep - shoveling, salting, raking, trash pickup, etc.

Proficiencies Needed

• Valid driver's license and good driving record
• Ability to regularly lift 50 lbs

• Need to be comfortable being in a large building alone
