Job summary

Johnson County Park and Recreation District (JCPRD) is seeking a Facility Supervisor for Okun Fieldhouse and Mid America West Sports Complex. This role involves supervising events, ensuring a safe and welcoming atmosphere, and delivering excellent service to patrons in a fast-paced sports setting.

The position supports evenings and weekend hours with a pay range of $16–$18 per hour, and requires strong guest interaction skills and some facility operations experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18 years and older.
• Experience working directly with the public.
• Knowledge of customer service expectations and ability to solve customer service issues.
• Experience in an athletic facility or sports office is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor games, practices, and tournaments across multiple courts.
• Provide an upbeat, safe environment for the public.
• Deliver excellent customer service and supervise the facility.
• Greet patrons enthusiastically and assist with opening/closing the facility.
• Ensure facility policies are followed.
• Assist with setup and teardown of activities and events.
• Perform light maintenance duties (trash removal, restrooms).
• Pay range: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour, depending on qualifications.

• Monitor games, practices, and tournaments of up to 8 basketball/volleyball courts
• Provide an upbeat, safe environment for the public
• Provide excellent customer service, leadership, and supervision of the facility
• Enthusiastically greet patrons
• Open and/or close the facility
• Ensure facility policies are followed
• Assist with setup/tear down of activities, events, and programs
• Some light maintenance duties including removing trash, cleaning restrooms, etc.
• Pay Range: $16.00 - $18.00, depending on qualifications.
