Position Title: Facility Subject Matter Expert (SME)

Position Overview

OMNI is seeking a Facility Subject Matter Expert (SME) to provide strategic guidance and oversight for facility planning, activation, modernization, and operational readiness efforts supporting mission‑critical Government programs. The selected candidate will work closely with Government leadership, engineers, security personnel, IT teams, and contractors to ensure facilities are fully prepared to support operational requirements.

Core Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide advisory support for facility development, renovation, infrastructure upgrades, and modernization projects.
• Lead coordination efforts associated with facility stand‑up, relocation, activation, and expansion initiatives.
• Support planning and integration of mission, administrative, and operational spaces to meet program requirements.
• Track project milestones, identify risks, and monitor contractor performance throughout project execution.
• Coordinate activities among facilities, engineering, security, logistics, and IT stakeholders.
• Conduct site surveys, inspections, readiness assessments, and occupancy evaluations.
• Develop status reports, executive briefings, risk assessments, and recommendations for Government leadership.
• Support transition planning and occupancy activities for newly constructed or renovated facilities.
• Ensure facility activation efforts meet operational, physical security, infrastructure, and technology requirements prior to mission execution.
• Facilitate stakeholder integration and readiness activities to support seamless transition into operational environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Facilities Management, Architecture, Project Management, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience supporting facility operations, infrastructure projects, construction programs, or facilities planning initiatives.
• Demonstrated experience coordinating facility activation, relocation, renovation, or modernization efforts.
• Familiarity working across multiple functional areas, including facilities, engineering, security, logistics, and information technology.
• Strong project coordination, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively with senior stakeholders in a fast‑paced environment.
• Active TS/SCI clearance required; Polygraph preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting DoD or Intelligence Community facilities and secure environments.
• Knowledge of facility lifecycle planning, occupancy management, and operational readiness processes.
• Experience supporting large‑scale infrastructure or campus expansion initiatives.
