Job summary

Triumvirate Environmental in Orlando, FL is seeking a Facility Specialist to manage permitted waste operations and ensure compliance with RCRA, DOT, and EPA regulations. The role offers hands-on experience with hazardous waste handling, transport coordination, and facility supervision.

You will develop knowledge to manage a permitted facility, perform routine compliance checks, coordinate outbound loads, and work with waste tracking systems while advancing toward facility management

Qualifications

• BS/BA in Environmental Science or Business-related degree or 2+ years of industry experience.
• Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently.
• Must be able to pass background checks and pre-employment screenings.

Responsibilities

• Develop knowledge to manage a permitted facility and ensure compliance with permits.
• Coordinate outbound loads, schedule transporters, and ensure timely waste delivery.
• Assist with daily/weekly/monthly compliance checks and SOP implementation.
• Consolidate waste according to permit and customer requirements.
• Work hands-on with chemicals and QC of waste streams.

Triumvirate Environmental, one of the largest environmental services firms in North America, is seeking a Facility Specialist for our Orlando, FL facility.

This is a unique role that will give you exposure to RCRA and DOT compliance, technical services, transportation, solid disposal coordination, ten-day transfer of hazardous waste and universal waste management. This position reports to theFacility Coordinator. This role isonsiteand is based inOrlando, FL.

• Develop the knowledge and experience to manage apermitted facility
• Understandfacilitypermit andlocal governing agencyexpectations forwastemanagement
• Assist with general facility compliance including performing daily/weekly/monthly compliance checks, training, SOP implementation/review, and process review
• Assist with general facility operations
• Consolidate waste according topermits, disposal facility requirements, and customer preferences
• Build Trailer loads for outbound transportation
• Assist with waste determinations/profile management
• Coordinate outbound loads- setting up deliveries, scheduling transporters, etc.
• Develop an understanding of OSHA regulations, Triumvirate’s Health and Safety Practices, and EPA regulations
• Demonstrate your supervisory leadership abilities through interaction with coworkers
• Work towards becoming familiar with technical, customer service, and business components of environmental services
• Work with computerized waste tracking systems
• Work hands on with chemicals and QC of waste streams
• Upon completion of emergency response (ER) training, you will be part of an in-house ER team
• This position also includes the daily need to lift items that weigh up to 75 pounds
• This is a safety sensitive position

Basic Requirements:

• BS/BA in Environmental Science or Business-related degree required OR 2+ years of industry, or relative Military experience
• Ability to work as a member of a team as well as individually
• Excellent customer service skills and ability to effectively interact with a broad range of personnel preferred
• Strong communication, problem solving, and relationship building skills preferred
• Must have a reliable form of transportation
• Must be willing to consent to Motor Vehicle Record screening, criminal background check, pre-employment physical, and drug screen (inclusive of THC)
• Upon employment, you will be required to participate in a random drug screening program (inclusive of THC) as part of our company’s commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy work environment
• Must be able to lift 60 pounds on a regular basis
• Must be willing to work flexible hours within the work week (Monday through Friday)
• Ability to work overtime on a regular basis
• The Facility Specialist position frequently handles hazardous chemicals and biological waste. This role is considered safety-sensitive
• Must be eligible to work in the United States without future sponsorship

Preferred Requirements

• Prior knowledge, experience, and compliance with DOT, RCRA, and other applicable regulations
• CDL with Hazmat Endorsement
