Job summary

Triumvirate Environmental, a leading environmental services firm, seeks a Facility Specialist for its Orlando, FL facility. The role includes exposure to RCRA and DOT compliance, waste management, and daily operations to prepare for growth into facility leadership.

Minimum BS/BA in Environmental Science or related field or 2+ years industry experience, with strong teamwork, communication and problem-solving skills. Physical duties include lifting 60 pounds and occasional overtime.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in Environmental Science or Business-related degree OR 2+ years of industry or relative Military experience.
• Ability to work as a member of a team as well as individually.
• Excellent customer service skills and ability to effectively interact with a broad range of personnel preferred.
• Strong communication, problem solving, and relationship building skills preferred.
• Must have a reliable form of transportation.
• Must be willing to consent to background checks, pre-employment screening, and random drug testing.

Responsibilities

• Develop the knowledge and experience to manage a permitted facility.
• Understand facility permit and local governing agency expectations for waste management.
• Assist with general facility compliance including daily/weekly/monthly checks, training, SOP implementation and process review.
• Assist with general facility operations.
• Consolidate waste according to permits, disposal facility requirements, and customer preferences.
• Build Trailer loads for outbound transportation.
• Coordinate outbound loads—setting up deliveries, scheduling transporters, etc.
• Develop an understanding of OSHA regulations, Triumvirate’s Health and Safety Practices, and EPA regulations.
• Work hands on with chemicals and QC of waste streams.
• Upon completion of ER training, you will be part of an in-house ER team.
• Must be able to lift 60 pounds on a regular basis.
• Must be willing to work flexible hours and overtime.

This is a unique role that will give you exposure to RCRA and DOT compliance, technical services, transportation, solid disposal coordination, ten-day transfer of hazardous waste and universal waste management. This position reports to theFacility Coordinator. This role isonsiteand is based inOrlando, FL.

• Develop the knowledge and experience to manage apermitted facility
• Understandfacilitypermit andlocal governing agencyexpectations forwastemanagement
• Assist with general facility compliance including performing daily/weekly/monthly compliance checks, training, SOP implementation/review, and process review

• Demonstrate your supervisory leadership abilities through interaction with coworkers
• Work towards becoming familiar with technical, customer service, and business components of environmental services
• Work with computerized waste tracking systems
• Work hands on with chemicals and QC of waste streams
• Upon completion of emergency response (ER) training, you will be part of an in-house ER team
• This position also includes the daily need to lift items that weigh up to 75 pounds
• This is a safety sensitive position

Basic Requirements

• BS/BA in Environmental Science or Business-related degree required OR 2+ years of industry, or relative Military experience
• Ability to work as a member of a team as well as individually
• Excellent customer service skills and ability to effectively interact with a broad range of personnel preferred
• Strong communication, problem solving, and relationship building skills preferred
• Must have a reliable form of transportation
• Must be willing to consent to Motor Vehicle Record screening, criminal background check, pre-employment physical, and drug screen (inclusive of THC)
• Upon employment, you will be required to participate in a random drug screening program (inclusive of THC) as part of our company’s commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy work environment
• Must be able to lift 60 pounds on a regular basis
• Must be willing to work flexible hours within the work week (Monday through Friday)
• Ability to work overtime on a regular basis
• The Facility Specialist position frequently handles hazardous chemicals and biological waste. This role is considered safety-sensitive
• Must be eligible to work in the United States without future sponsorship

Preferred Requirements

• Prior knowledge, experience, and compliance with DOT, RCRA, and other applicable regulations
• CDL with Hazmat Endorsement
