The Facility Set-Up Coordinator at a leading institution is responsible for preparing the Friday Center for events and daily operations. This role involves managing room configurations, general maintenance tasks, and ensuring the facility meets the needs of guests and staff. The coordinator works closely with the facilities team to support a wide range of events, from small seminars to large conferences, ensuring everything is set up accurately and efficiently.
The Facility Set-Up Coordinator is primarily responsible for ensuring that the Friday Center is physically prepared and in working order to support its programs, events, and daily operations. This position manages the staging, set-up, and breakdown of conference rooms and public spaces to meet event specifications. Working in coordination with the Conference Center teams, this role ensures that all meeting spaces are physically arranged and equipped for a wide range of events from small seminars to large, multi-day conferences and that room configurations are completed accurately, efficiently, and on schedule.
In addition to facility staging and event support, the Set-Up Coordinator provides general facility maintenance and upkeep throughout the 100,000-square-foot building, including meeting rooms, offices, a commercial kitchen, a loading dock, and exterior areas. Responsibilities include general maintenance tasks such as painting and drywall repair; basic repairs of electrical switches, outlets, and lighting fixtures; and minor plumbing work involving toilets, urinals, faucets, and drain lines. The coordinator also conducts routine building checks, identifies maintenance needs, and assists with day-to-day operational support to ensure the facility remains safe, functional, and responsive to the needs of guests and staff. The Facility Set-Up Coordinator reports to the manager of facility operations and maintenance at the Friday Center and works in conjunction with the broader Friday Center facilities team to ensure seamless daily operations and support for events.
