DirectViz Solutions, LLC seeks a detail-oriented Facility Security Officer to support security operations in White Sands, NM. The FSO will administer facility and personnel security programs and ensure compliance with DoD requirements to protect classified information and assets.

The ideal candidate has DoD experience and an active Secret clearance, with proficiency in access control, security administration, and regulatory compliance; on-site work in White Sands is required.

Position Overview

DirectViz Solutions (DVS) is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Facility Security Officer (FSO) to support security operations in White Sands, New Mexico. The FSO will be responsible for administering facility and personnel security programs, ensuring compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) security requirements, and supporting the protection of classified information, personnel, and government assets.

The ideal candidate will have experience supporting security operations within a federal contracting or DoD environment, with a strong understanding of personnel clearances, access control, security administration, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain facility and personnel security programs in accordance with applicable DoD and federal security regulations.
• Manage personnel security processes, including clearance verification, access eligibility, security documentation, and ongoing compliance requirements.
• Coordinate employee onboarding and offboarding security procedures, including security briefings, debriefings, and access authorization.
• Facilitate Common Access Card (CAC) issuance, badge requests, facility access, and visitor authorization processes.
• Maintain accurate personnel security records, clearance documentation, and related security databases.
• Support the safeguarding, handling, storage, and transmission of classified information in accordance with established security procedures.
• Coordinate with government security representatives, program leadership, and internal stakeholders to address security requirements and resolve compliance issues.
• Assist with security inspections, audits, assessments, and corrective action activities.
• Monitor compliance with applicable security policies, procedures, and contractual requirements.
• Investigate, document, and report potential security incidents, violations, or discrepancies through appropriate channels.
• Support security awareness training and ensure employees understand their responsibilities for protecting sensitive and classified information.
• Maintain security documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and administrative records.
• Provide security administration support for personnel working across enterprise IT, cybersecurity, network operations, and other mission-critical technical environments.

Required Qualifications

• 5 or more years as an FSO or AA or 2yr Tech School w/2+ years

• Active Secret security clearance.
• Experience supporting personnel security, facility security, or security administration within a DoD, federal government, or government contracting environment.
• Knowledge of personnel clearance processes, access control procedures, and classified-information handling requirements.
• Familiarity with DoD security regulations and established security compliance procedures.
• Experience coordinating employee security onboarding, out-processing, and access management.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to maintain accurate records and manage multiple security-related priorities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with government representatives, program management, and employees.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and electronic recordkeeping systems.
• Ability to work on-site in White Sands, NM.

Physical and Mental Qualifications

• Maintain focus and awareness throughout scheduled working hours.
• Perform tasks requiring prolonged periods of sitting or standing at a desk, utilizing a computer, mouse, and keyboard.
• Lift and move objects weighing up to 15 pounds as needed.
• Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a strong command of the English language.
• Demonstrate the ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively as part of a team.
• Quickly learn and retain routine tasks and processes.
• Possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, business correspondence proficiency, and self-management capabilities.
