Job summary

The Plaza Rehab and Nursing Center is seeking a Security Officer to perform safety and security duties under supervision. The role involves badge control for visitors and staff, responding to emergencies, and monitoring CCTV and alarm systems to ensure the safety of residents, patients, visitors, and employees.

Training includes understanding wander guard systems, log/report creation, and maintaining a professional appearance in uniform.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Current valid Driver’s License.
• Knowledge of security equipment such as cameras, monitors, radios, and computers.
• Ability to read instructions and apply those instructions to tasks.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to visitor/employee badge procedures.
• Responds to emergencies (fire, disasters).
• Performs regular package/briefcase checks on all employees.
• Performs access control duties and operates wander guard system.
• Notifies departments of emergencies and provides direction.
• Prepares and maintains logs and reports.
• Monitors safety conditions and reports hazards.
• Monitors CCTV and responds to alarms.
• Maintains proper uniform and professional image.
• Supports QA and PI processes.
